About Ferda Yayci
Welcome to my portfolio. I’m a junior UX/UI designer with a background in fashion and visual design, bringing a unique perspective to creating human-centred digital experiences. My approach combines user research, prototyping, and accessibility principles to design intuitive, elegant, and functional interfaces.
I’m passionate about understanding user needs, solving complex problems, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful products. My goal is to grow within a dynamic design team, contribute fresh ideas, and continue learning from real-world projects.
I’m a UX/UI designer with a strong foundation in visual storytelling, user-centred problem solving, and iterative design, shaped by over a decade of experience in the fashion industry. My previous work as a fashion designer, art director, and product developer has given me a unique perspective on how people interact with products—both digital and physical.
My background in sampling, fit analysis, production processes, and communicating with manufacturers trained me to think systematically, test assumptions early, and refine designs based on real-world constraints. These same skills translate directly into UX through prototyping, usability testing, design iteration, and creating solutions that balance user needs with technical feasibility.
Whether I’m mapping user flows, prototyping interfaces, or analysing usability issues, I approach digital products the same way I approached physical ones:
research deeply, design intentionally, test rigorously, and refine until it works beautifully.

My Services
User Research & Problem Definition
[ 01 ]
I apply user research methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and pain points. My goal is to define clear problem statements that guide design decisions and ensure solutions are human-centred.
UI Design & Visual Systems
[ 03 ]
I design intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging interfaces that align with brand identity. With a strong background in visual design, I focus on typography, layout, and colour systems that enhance usability and aesthetics.
Wireframing & Prototyping
[ 02 ]
I create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise user flows, test ideas quickly, and gather feedback early in the design process. I use tools such as Figma and Adobe XD to bring concepts to life.
Usability Testing & Iteration
[ 04 ]
I conduct usability tests to validate design choices, identify friction points, and continuously improve digital products. I believe iteration is key to delivering seamless and user-friendly experiences.
Graphic Design & Visual Identity
[ 05 ]
I create visual assets that support digital products and strengthen brand identity.
This includes designing icons, social media graphics, marketing visuals, style guides, and other brand-aligned materials that ensure consistent and engaging communication across both digital and print platforms.

Problem Statement
A strong problem statement is the foundation of effective UX/UI design. It defines the core challenge we aim to solve for users, clarifies their pain points, and guides the design process. In my work, I focus on identifying real user needs, understanding the context, and framing problems in a way that allows for thoughtful, user-centered solutions.

UX Research Insights Repository
UX Research (UXR)
My UX research tracker in Google Sheets, along with affinity mapping in FigJam, keeps all user insights organised — from interviews and surveys to usability tests. This process helps me identify patterns, understand user needs, and make informed design decisions throughout each project.
Testing Results
I conduct usability testing to evaluate prototypes, observe user interactions, and identify pain points. Testing results help me refine designs and ensure solutions meet real user needs.
